NOTICE:
When replacing the steering actuator assembly, perform actuator angle neutral point calibration and initialization after replacement (Click here).

2.READ VALUE USING GTS (ABNORMAL OPERATION HISTORY)
  1. Turn the engine switch off.

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the GTS on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / VGRS / Data List.

  1. According to the display on the GTS, read the Abnormal Operation History.

3.CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS
  1. Check if operation stopped under harsh conditions, such as the steering wheel being repeatedly turned while the vehicle is stationary.

    HINT:
    When the torque load is large, such as when driving on rough roads, VGRS system operation stops to protect the system.

4.CHECK STEERING EFFORT
  1. Check the steering torque when the steering wheel is turned with the vehicle stopped (for 1VD-FTV: Click here, for 1UR-FE: Click here, for 3UR-FE: Click here).

OK:
The steering torque is normal.
HINT:
When the steering effort is large, VGRS system operation stops to protect the system.

5.CHECK STEERING ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
  1. Check for abnormal noise or vibration in the steering actuator assembly.

OK:
Neither abnormal noise nor vibration occurs.

6.CHECK VGRS SYSTEM
  1. Operate the steering wheel and check that the system recovers.
