DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when communication is lost with the skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid) or ECM.

  2. Communication is lost between ECM and 4 wheel drive control ECU
  3. 5.12 seconds or more when transfer is switching between high and low
  4. 1 trip detection logic

  1. Ignition switch turned to ON (3 seconds elapse after ignition switch is turned to ON)
  2. Communication is lost between skid control ECU and 4 wheel drive control ECU
  3. 0.72 seconds or more when transfer is switching between high and low, or when center differential is switching between free and lock
  4. 1 trip detection logic

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. When the data in the ECM or skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid) is being overwritten, the indicator light may rapidly blink due to the 4 wheel drive control ECU detecting a communication malfunction (blinks at 0.25 second intervals (0.25 seconds on and 0.25 seconds off)), but this is not a malfunction.
  2. Clear all DTCs, since DTCs are stored after the data in the ECM or skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid) is overwritten.
