DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when an open circuit in the center differential shift motor drive circuit is detected.

  1. When switching between free and lock or during switching operation (center differential lock shift motor operating) with ignition switch turned to ON
  2. Open circuit in the center differential lock shift motor drive circuit
  3. 0.03 seconds or more
  4. 1 trip detection logic
  1. Wire harness and connector
  2. 4 wheel drive control ECU
  3. Transfer shift actuator assembly

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU - TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY)
  1. Disconnect the A28 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the C37 transfer shift actuator assembly connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    A28-8 (TM1) - C37-1 (TM1)
    Always
    Below 1 Ω
    A28-7 (TM2) - C37-2 (TM2)
    Always
    Below 1 Ω
