INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL
FIX FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY
INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR
INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR
INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING
INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY
INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING
INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION
INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE O-RING
| 1. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL |
Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal.
- SST
- 09950-60010(09951-00650)
09950-70010(09951-07100)
- HINT:
- The oil seal end should be flush with the outer edge of the pump body.
Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.
| 2. FIX FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Place the oil pump body on the torque converter clutch.
| 3. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR |
Coat the driven gear with ATF.
Install the driven gear to the oil pump body.
| 4. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR |
Coat the drive gear with ATF.
Install the drive gear to the oil pump body.
| 5. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING |
Coat a new O-ring with ATF and install it to the oil pump body.
| 6. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY |
Align the stator shaft with the bolt holes.
Install the 17 bolts.
- Torque:
- 11 N*m{112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf}
| 7. INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING |
Coat 3 new oil seal rings with ATF.
Squeeze the ends of the 3 oil seal rings together so that the overlap distance is 8 mm (0.314 in.) or less, and then install them to the starter shaft groove.
- NOTICE:
- Do not excessively widen the rings.
- HINT:
- After installing the oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.
| 8. INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION |
Place the oil pump body on the torque converter clutch.
Check that the drive gear rotates smoothly.
Remove the oil pump assembly from the torque converter.
| 9. INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CASE O-RING |
Coat a new O-ring with ATF and install it to the oil pump.
