DESCRIPTION
When the forward recognition camera is replaced with a new one, the new forward recognition camera attempts to store the vehicle information received from the ECM. If the forward recognition camera cannot store the vehicle information, DTC C1AAD is stored.DTC No. | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
C1AAD | 2 seconds after the engine switch is turned on (IG), the vehicle information from the ECM cannot be stored. |

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- NOTICE:
- When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
- If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform forward recognition camera learning (Click here).
1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION DTC OUTPUT) |
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Chassis / LKA/LDA / Trouble Codes.
Check for DTCs (Click here).

2.READ VALUE USING GTS |
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Chassis / Front Recognition Camera / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

- HINT:
- If "Unknown" is displayed, the ECM cannot send vehicle information or the forward recognition camera cannot store the vehicle information. Check for DTCs, replace the ECM if necessary and recheck for DTCs. If the DTC is output again, replace the forward recognition camera.
- If "Unknown" is not displayed, the DTC is stored even though the vehicle information is stored in the forward recognition camera. Replace the forward recognition camera.

Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Chassis / LKA/LDA / Trouble Codes.
Clear the DTCs (Click here).
Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
- HINT:
- If the following procedure is not performed, the previously output DTC cannot be detected.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait 2 seconds or more.
Check for DTCs (Click here).

4.REPLACE ECM |
Replace the ECM.
