  1. PRECAUTION

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY (w/ DPF)

  4. REMOVE FUEL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/o DPF)

  5. REMOVE EGR COOLER INSULATOR (w/ EGR System)

  6. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

Starter -- Removal


NOTICE:
  1. When replacing an injector (including interchanging injectors between cylinders) or common rail, replace the corresponding injection pipes with new ones.
  2. w/ DPF
    When fuel lines are disconnected, air may enter the fuel lines, leading to engine starting trouble. Therefore, perform forced regeneration and bleed the air from the fuel lines.


1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).


2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).


3. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY (w/ DPF)

4. REMOVE FUEL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/o DPF)

5. REMOVE EGR COOLER INSULATOR (w/ EGR System)

6. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Detach the harness clamp and disconnect the wire harness.

  1. Disconnect the starter connector.

  1. Remove the nut and disconnect the starter wire.

  1. Disconnect the 2 starter hoses.



    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and starter.
