Front Wiper Motor Removal

  1. PRECAUTION

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

  4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

  5. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

  6. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL

  7. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH

  8. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH

  9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

Front Wiper Motor -- Removal



1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR1006X.html).


2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR300CX.html).


3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the front wiper arm head cap.

    HINT:
    1. Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    2. Use the same procedure for both front wiper arm head caps.


4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.



5. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Remove the nut and the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH.



6. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Using a clip remover, detach the 9 clips and remove the hood to cowl top seal.



7. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Remove the clip.

  1. Detach the 5 claws and 5 guides, and remove the cowl top ventilator louver RH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.



8. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Remove the clip.

  1. Detach the 5 guides, and remove the cowl top ventilator louver LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.



9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts.

  1. Move the wiper cushion in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to detach the wiper cushion from the body, and remove the windshield wiper motor and link.



10. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the 2 rods of the wiper link from the windshield wiper motor as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 bolts and windshield wiper motor.
