Window Defogger Switch (For Manual Cooler System) Inspection

Check the illumination area of the switch.

OK:

Measurement Condition	Specified Condition
Battery positive (+) → 1 (ILL+) Battery negative (-) → 2 (ILL+)	Illuminates

HINT:

The on/off indicator of the switch will not illuminate.

Check the on/off indicator of the switch.

1. Push the switch several times. Check that the on/off indicator illuminates or turns off according to the switch operation.
   

   OK:

   Measurement Condition	Specified Condition	Specified Condition
   Battery positive (+) → 5 (IG) Battery negative (-) → 3 (E)	Defogger switch on	Illuminates

   If the result is not as specified, replace the rear window defogger switch assembly.
   

   HINT:

   The illumination area of the switch will not illuminate.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
