POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM (w/o Jam Protection Function) - Front Passenger Side Power Window Manual Function does not Operate with Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch

DESCRIPTION

If the front passenger side manual up/down function does not operate, a malfunction may be present in the front power window regulator motor assembly RH, front power window regulator switch assembly RH, power window regulator master switch assembly or wire harness.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH - BATTERY)

Disconnect the H5 front power window regulator switch assembly RH connector.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

Ignition switch ON
11 to 14 V
Ignition switch off
Below 1 V

2.INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH

Remove the front power window regulator switch assembly RH (HILUX_TGN26 RM000002STU07XX.html).

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH - FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH)

Disconnect the H5 front power window regulator switch assembly RH connector.

Disconnect the H2 front power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

H5-2 (U) - H2-2 (U)	Always	Below 1 Ω
H5-5 (D) or H2-1 (D) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK

4.INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH

Remove the front power window regulator motor assembly RH (HILUX_TGN26 RM000002STX034X.html).

Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 (D) and 2 (U).
NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 (D) and 2 (U).

Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

OK:

Measurement Condition	Specified Condition
Battery positive (+) → 1 (D) Battery negative (-) → 2 (U)	Motor gear rotates clockwise

5.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH)

Disconnect the I12*1 or I13*2 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
1. *1: for Double Cab
2. *2: except Double Cab

Disconnect the H5 front power window regulator switch assembly RH connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

for Double Cab
