Front Power Seat Motor Assembly (For Rear Lifter) Removal

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH WITH FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

  5. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

  9. REMOVE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear Lifter)

Front Power Seat Motor Assembly (For Rear Lifter) -- Removal


CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.


1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  1. Apply protective tape around the front seat cushion shield.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

  1. Apply protective tape around the front seat cushion shield.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH WITH FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

  1. Remove the 2 screws.



    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25
  1. Remove the 3 screws.

  1. Detach the claw and guide.

  1. Remove the front seat cushion shield LH with the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield LH.



5. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH

  1. Remove the 3 screws.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the front power seat switch LH.



6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25
  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Detach the claw and guide.

  1. Pull the front seat inner cushion shield LH to detach the claw and remove the front seat inner cushion shield LH.



7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25.Seat.Front Power Seat Control System.Front Power Seat Motor Assembly (For Rear Lifter)  Removal
  1. Disconnect the connector and detach the 3 clamps.

  1. Roll up the front seat cushion cover LH.

  1. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.



8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

  1. Remove the hog rings.

  1. Bend the 2 front seat cushion frame claws upward.



  1. Detach the hooks and remove the front seat cushion cover with pad.

9. REMOVE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear Lifter)

  1. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

  1. Detach the 4 clamps indicated by the arrows in the illustration and remove the seat cushion spring.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and seat cushion frame.

  1. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts for the tilt rod.

  1. Remove the nut and tilt rod.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt for the adjust screw.

  1. Using a 4 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 2 bolts and power seat motor assembly (for Rear Lifter).

    HINT:
    When the adjust screw is locked in the uppermost or lowermost position, turn the screw to release the lock before removing the power seat motor assembly.
