Front Seat Assembly (For Separate Seat Type) Reassembly

Install the front seat cushion edge protector LH as shown in the illustration.

w/ Vertical Adjuster:

1. Apply MP grease to the locations shown in the illustration.

Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, install the lower reclining adjuster arm sub-assembly LH with the 2 "TORX" bolts.

Torque:

25 N*m{255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf}

w/o Vertical Adjuster:
Install the lower reclining adjuster arm sub-assembly LH with the 3 bolts.

Torque:

20 N*m{199 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf}

w/ Vertical Adjuster:

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

w/o Vertical Adjuster:

HINT:

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

Apply MP grease to the locations shown in the illustration.

MP Grease

Connect the vertical adjusting shaft sub-assembly to the 2 lower reclining adjuster arms to install it.

Connect the 2 vertical travel links to the vertical adjusting shaft sub-assembly.

Install 2 new E-rings.

Temporarily install the vertical seat adjuster knob LH.

Turn the vertical seat adjuster knob LH as much as possible in the direction indicated by arrow A in the illustration.

Mesh the gear of the vertical adjusting shaft sub-assembly with the gear of the lower reclining adjuster arm sub-assembly.

Align the holes of the vertical adjusting shaft sub-assembly and lower reclining adjuster arm sub-assembly by turning the vertical seat adjuster knob LH in the direction indicated by arrow B in the illustration.

Remove the vertical seat adjuster knob LH.

Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the front No. 2 seat adjuster pin LH.

Torque:

8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}

Temporarily install the vertical seat adjuster knob LH.

Turn the vertical seat adjuster knob LH clockwise and move the lower reclining adjuster arm sub-assembly to the uppermost position.

Remove the vertical seat adjuster knob LH.

Install the seat spring as shown in the illustration.

Using pliers, push together the tabs that hold the seat spring.

Apply MP grease to the locations shown in the illustration.

Attach the 2 springs to install the seat track handle sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

HINT:

The seat track handle sub-assembly LH will get caught on the springs when installing it. Detach the springs to install the seat track handle sub-assembly LH.

Install the front seat adjuster rod with the 2 bolts.

Torque:

20 N*m{199 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf}

Install the front seat cushion frame sub-assembly LH with the 4 bolts.

Torque:

20 N*m{199 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf}

Install the 2 front seat cushion protectors.

Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
   

Attach the hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat cushion frame sub-assembly LH.

Bend the 2 front seat cushion frame claws downward.

Using hog ring pliers, attach the separate type front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion frame sub-assembly LH with new hog rings.

for Front Passenger Side, w/ Seat Belt Warning System:
Attach the wire harness clamp.

Using hog ring pliers, attach the separate type front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion frame sub-assembly LH with new hog rings.

Install the No. 1 seatback cloth to the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

Install the separate type front seatback pad.

for Vinyl Seat, for Cloth Seat:
Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
   

for Leather Seat:
Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
   

Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

Pass the straps of the separate type front seatback cover through the holes of the separate type front seatback pad.

Using hog ring pliers, attach the 2 straps of the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback spring assembly with new hog rings.

Using hog ring pliers, attach the separate type front seatback cover with new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
   

Attach the 2 pieces of fastening tape.

Install the front seatback assembly with the 4 bolts.

Torque:

40 N*m{408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf}

for Power Seat, Front Passenger Side:
Using hog ring pliers, attach the separate type front seat cushion cover and rubber bands of the separate type front seatback cover to the front seat cushion frame sub-assembly RH with new hog rings.

Install the seatback spring LH.

Attach the guide and 2 hooks in the order shown in the illustration to install the front seat cushion shield LH.

Install the 2 screws.

Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

Install the snap ring to the vertical seat adjuster knob LH.

Install the vertical seat adjuster knob LH.

Attach the 2 hooks in the order shown in the illustration to install the front seat inner cushion shield LH.

Install the 2 screws.

Install the front seat cushion cover LH.

Install the front seat inner belt assembly RH with the nut.

Torque:

42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}

NOTICE:

Do not allow the anchor part of the seat belt to overlap the protruding part of the seat adjuster.

Attach the wire harness to the clamp.

Attach the clamp.

w/ Front Passenger Seat Belt Warning System:

1. Install the front seat inner belt assembly LH with the nut.
   

   Torque:

   42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}

   NOTICE:

   Do not allow the anchor part of the seat belt to overlap the protruding part of the seat adjuster.

2. Attach the wire harness to the clamp.
   





3. Attach the 2 clamps as shown in the illustration.

4. Using hog ring pliers, attach the cover to front cushion frame subassembly with new hog rings.

1. Install the inner belt with the nut.
   

   Torque:

   42 N*m{428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf}

   NOTICE:

   Do not allow the anchor part of the seat belt to overlap the protruding part of the seat adjuster.
