Front Airbag Sensor Installation

Supplemental Restraint Systems. Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. INSTALL FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR LH

  2. INSTALL BATTERY

  3. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  5. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

  6. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

Front Airbag Sensor -- Installation


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
  2. The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


1. INSTALL FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR LH

  1. Install the front airbag sensor LH with the nut.

    Torque:
    9.0 N*m{92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf}
    NOTICE:
    1. If the front airbag sensor LH has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.
    2. When installing the front airbag sensor LH, make sure that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and is not pinched between other parts.

  1. Check that the front airbag sensor LH is not loose.

  1. Connect the connector.



2. INSTALL BATTERY

  1. Install the battery.

  1. Connect the cable to the positive (+) battery terminal.

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m{55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf}


3. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the battery clamp with the bolt and nut.

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m{55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf}


4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR3009X.html).


5. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE

  1. Attach the 6 claws to install the radiator grille.

  1. Install the 2 screws and 2 clips.



6. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
