Power Door Lock Control System -- Customize Parameters



1. CUSTOMIZE POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
HINT:
  1. The following items can be customized (w/ Theft Deterrent System).
  2. During customize mode, the alarm control functions are disabled.
  3. During customize mode, the following wireless control functions are disabled: remote alarm function, automatic locking function, operation stop function and illuminated entry function.
  4. During customize mode, the ECU will not output lock/unlock signals.
  5. While in customize mode, if the key is inserted into the ignition key cylinder or a door is opened, customize mode will be canceled.
NOTICE:
  1. When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
  2. Record the current settings before customizing.

    1. *: When customizing the ON/OFF setting of the speed-sensitive automatic door lock function or ignition switch-linked automatic door unlock function, please note that the two functions' settings are synchronized. For information on how to customize, refer to the flowchart below.

    1. Check that the following conditions are met.

      1. No key is in the ignition key cylinder.
      2. The theft deterrent system is in the disarmed state (when either condition below is met):
        1. All the doors are in the unlocked condition and the doors are locked and unlocked using the door control transmitter.
        2. The key is inserted into the ignition key cylinder, the ignition switch is turned to ON then off, and then the key is removed.
      3. The driver side door is opened (the other doors are closed).

    2. Perform the following operation twice within 5 seconds:

      1. Insert the key into the ignition key cylinder, and then pull it out (ending with the key pulled out).

    3. Wait for 5 seconds.

    4. After completing the above step, press and hold down lock switch and unlock switch on the door control transmitter at the same time for over 3 seconds within 5 seconds.

    5. Check that the hazard warning lights flash once.

    6. After completing the lock and unlock switch operation, perform the following operation within 5 seconds.

      1. Press the lock switch twice within 2seconds.

    7. After completing the above step, press the unlock switch on door control transmitter once within 2 seconds.

    8. Check that the hazard warning lights flash twice.

    9. After completing the unlock switch operation, perform the following operations (mode select) within 10 seconds:

      1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter the number of times shown below depending on the desired function behavior to select the answer-back pattern and warning function setting. Press the unlock switch on door lock transmitter once within 2 seconds of pressing the lock switch on door control transmitter.

          Ignition switch-linked automatic door unlock function: ON
          1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter once.
        Pattern 2
        1. Speed-sensitive automatic door lock function: OFF
          Ignition switch-linked automatic door unlock function: OFF
          1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter twice.
        Pattern 3
        1. Speed-sensitive automatic door lock function: Canceled
          Ignition switch-linked automatic door unlock function: Canceled
          1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter 3 times or more.

    10. Check the response to the customize operation.
