PRECAUTION
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS
REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to rear the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR1006X.html).
| 2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QR300CX.html).

| 4. DISCONNECT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS |
Disconnect the stop light switch connector.
Remove the return spring.

Remove the clip and clevis pin.
Disconnect the push rod clevis from the brake pedal.
| 5. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY |
for 1KD-FTV and 2KD-FTV with Manual Transmission:
Detach the connector clamp and clamp from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.
Remove the bolt from the support.

Remove the 4 nuts and support.
