Rear Speed Sensor -- Inspection



1. CHECK REAR SPEED SENSOR


  1. Check the speed sensor.

    1. Under any of the following conditions, replace the sensor with a new one.

      1. The surface of the sensor is cracked, dented or chipped.
      2. The connector is scratched, cracked or damaged.
      3. The sensor has been dropped.

    2. w/ ABS:
      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance:
      Tester Connection
      		Specified Condition
      1 - 2
      		0.65 to 2.0 kΩ
      1 - Body ground
      		10 kΩ or higher
      2 - Body ground
      		10 kΩ or higher

      		Component without harness connected
      (Rear Speed Sensor)
      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear speed sensor.
      HINT:
      Check the speed sensor signal after replacing the speed sensor (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000010JQ01WX_02_0005.html).
