Shift Lever -- Disassembly |
| 1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY |

Twist the knob counterclockwise and pull it upward to remove it.
| 2. REMOVE UPPER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING |
 |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the position indicator housing.
| 3. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR CONTROL PLATE |
Remove the position indicator control plate with the position indicator housing
 |
| 4. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER |
Remove the position indicator slide cover together with the No. 2 position indicator slide cover.
Remove the No. 2 position indicator slide cover from the position indicator slide cover.
| 5. REMOVE INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY |

Detach the 3 indicator light wire clamps.
Remove the bulb from the position indicator housing.
| 6. REMOVE LOWER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING |
 |
Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the position indicator housing.
| 7. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON |
 |
Detach the 2 claws and remove the shift lock release button and spring.
