  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ EGR Cooler)

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o EGR Cooler)

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 GAS FILTER WITH GAS FILTER BRACKET (w/ EGR Cooler)

  4. REMOVE ELECTRIC VACUUM REGULATING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for EGR)

Vacuum Regulating Valve -- Removal



1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ EGR Cooler)


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Remove the 3 bolts, 2 cap nuts and No. 1 engine cover.

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o EGR Cooler)

  1. Detach the 4 claws from the pins of the engine cover bracket and remove the No. 1 engine cover.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 GAS FILTER WITH GAS FILTER BRACKET (w/ EGR Cooler)


    Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

  1. Disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses.

  1. Remove the bolt and No. 1 gas filter with gas filter bracket.



4. REMOVE ELECTRIC VACUUM REGULATING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for EGR)


  1. w/ EGR Cooler:



      Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

    1. Disconnect the connector.



      2. Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

    2. Disconnect the 4 vacuum hoses.



      3. Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and electric vacuum regulating valve with bracket.

      NOTICE:
      Do not remove the electric vacuum regulating valve from the bracket.


  1. w/o EGR Cooler:



      Hilux. Tgn26, 36 Kun25, 26, 35, 36 Ggn25

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and electric vacuum regulating valve together with the bracket.

      NOTICE:
      Do not remove the electric vacuum regulating valve from the bracket.
