DTC P060D Internal Control Module Accelerator Pedal Position Performance

DESCRIPTION

The ECM monitors the input signals of the accelerator pedal position sensor No. 1. When the input signals and control signals deviate, a DTC is stored.

DTC No.
DTC Detection Condition
Trouble Area
P060D
Either condition is met (1 trip detection logic):
  1. There is an ECM main CPU error.
  2. There is an ECM sub CPU error.

MONITOR STRATEGY

Required sensors/Components
ECM
Frequency of operation
Once per driving cycle

TYPICAL MALFUNCTION THRESHOLDS

Difference of main accelerator pedal position and sub accelerator pedal position
0.3 V or more

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the intelligent tester on.
  3. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC operation).
  4. Turn the intelligent tester off.
  5. Turn the ignition switch off.
  6. Disconnect the intelligent tester.
  7. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.
  8. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
  9. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
  10. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the intelligent tester on.
  11. Wait 16 seconds or more.
  12. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / DTC.
  13. Read the pending DTCs.
    HINT:
    1. If a pending DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.
    2. If a pending DTC is not output, perform the following procedure.
  14. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / All Readiness.
  15. Input the DTC: P060D.
  16. Check the DTC judgment result.

    Tester Display
    Description
    NORMAL
    1. DTC judgment completed
    2. System normal
    ABNORMAL
    1. DTC judgment completed
    2. System abnormal
    INCOMPLETE
    1. DTC judgment not completed
    2. Perform driving pattern after confirming DTC enabling conditions
    N/A
    1. Unable to perform DTC judgment
    2. Number of DTCs which do not fulfill DTC preconditions has reached ECU memory limit
    HINT:
    1. If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
    2. If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
  17. If the judgment result is INCOMPLETE or N/A and no pending DTC is output, perform a universal trip and check for permanent DTCs (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000PDK130X.html).
    HINT:
    1. If a permanent DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.
    2. If no permanent DTC is output, the system is normal.
