Pre-Crash Safety System - How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM - HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
Use these procedures to troubleshoot the pre-crash safety system.
The intelligent tester should be used in steps 2, 3, 4 and 6.
1.VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP |
2.CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM |
Use the intelligent tester to check if the multiplex communication system is functioning normally.

3.CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM |
Use the intelligent tester to check for normally functioning of CAN communication system.
Perform bus check (Communication malfunctioning DTC).
Perform bus check (Communication Bus check).

DTC is output | B |
| Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM |

Recheck for DTCs.
Attempt to duplicate the malfunction and check if the DTCs are output again .

No DTC is output, and malfunction can not be duplicate or checked | C |
If the result is not listed in the problem symptoms table proceed to A.
If the result is listed in the problem symptoms table proceed to B.
