HEATER FUEL PUMP (for 2AD-FHV) - ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT HEATER FUEL PUMP (Wire Harness Side)
Heater Fuel Pump (For 2Ad-Fhv) - On-Vehicle Inspection. HEATER. Lexus IS250 IS220d GSE20 ALE20

Disconnect the connector from the heater fuel pump.

Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the tables below.

  • Standard voltage:
  • Tester connectionConditionSpecified condition
    2 - Body groundEngine switch: START
    Power heater switch: ON    		10 to 14 V
    2 - Body groundEngine switch: START
    Power heater switch: OFF    		Below 1 V
  • Standard resistance:
  • Tester connectionConditionSpecified condition
    1 - Body groundAlwaysBelow 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness.


2. INSPECT HEATER FUEL PUMP
Heater Fuel Pump (For 2Ad-Fhv) - On-Vehicle Inspection. HEATER. Lexus IS250 IS220d GSE20 ALE20

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  • Standard resistance:
  • Tester connectionConditionSpecified condition
    2 - 1Always9 to 12 Ω

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the heater fuel pump.


Inspect heater fuel pump operation.

Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1, and check the pressure of the hose by hand.

  • NOTICE:
  • This inspection must be done quickly (within 10 seconds) to prevent damage to the heater fuel pump.
  • OK:
  • The pressure is applied to the hose.

If the result is not as specified, replace the heater fuel pump.
