POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
  1. The power window control system controls the power window UP/DOWN function using the power window regulator motor. The main controls of this system are the power window regulator master switch, which is built into the driver door, and the power window regulator switches, which are built into the front passenger door and rear doors.
  2. Pressing the power window regulator switch or either of the power window switches on the power window regulator master switch transmits an UP/DOWN signal to the corresponding power window regulator motor.

FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS
  1. The power window control system consists of the following components:

    Power window regulator master switch assembly
    1. Controls power window operation for all windows.
    2. When window lock switch is set to lock position, window operation will only be possible with driver side switch.
    Power window regulator switch assembly
    1. Located on the front passenger door and rear doors.
    2. Each of the power window regulator switches controls power window operations for its respective window.
    Power window regulator motor assembly
    Receives power window switch signals and activates motor to change window position.


SYSTEM FUNCTION
  1. The power window control system has the following functions:

    Function
    Outline
    Manual UP/DOWN function
    Function that raises the window while the power window switch is pulled full up and lowers the window while it is pushed halfway (driver side) or full (except driver side) down. The window stops when the switch is released.
    AUTO DOWN function
    Function that enables the driver door window to be fully opened by one full push of the power window regulator master regulator switch.
    Remote control function
    Function that allows the power window regulator master switch to control MANUAL UP/DOWN operations of the front passenger and rear power windows.
    Window lock function
    1. Function where the front passenger and rear power window regulator switches operation is disabled when the window lock switch is pressed.
    2. The front passenger and rear power window regulator switches can be operated when the window lock switch is pressed again.
    Key-off operation function
    1. Function that makes it possible to operate all power windows for approximately 45 seconds after the ignition switch is turned off when the driver door or front passenger door has not been opened.
    2. When 45 seconds have elapsed, or the driver door or front passenger door is opened after the ignition switch is turned off, the key-off operation function will be disabled.
