  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. INSTALL SEAT TRACK OUTER COVER

  3. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  4. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

Front Seat Assembly (For Hatchback Driver Side) -- Installation


CAUTION:
  1. Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000KT10EAX.html).(w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
  2. If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with a new one. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
NOTICE:
Always use E10 "TORX" socket wrench when removing the front seat.


1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
  1. Follow the procedure described below in order to prevent the seat tracks from locking separately.
  2. Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  1. Insert the 2 location pins through the 2 body holes, place the front seat in the foremost position and make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are locked securely.

  1. Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, install bolt 1 and then bolt 2 onto the rear side.

    Torque:
    37 N*m{377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf}

  1. Move the front seat to the rearmost position, and then make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are securely locked.

  1. Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, install bolt 3 and then bolt 4 onto the front side.

    Torque:
    37 N*m{377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf}

  1. Make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks lock simultaneously after the seat is moved.

    HINT:
    If the inner and outer seat tracks do not lock simultaneously, loosen the bolts and adjust the seat tracks.

  1. Connect the buckle switch connector.

  1. Connect the SRS front seat cushion airbag connector. (w/ SRS Front Seat cushion Airbag)

  1. Connect the front seat side airbag connector. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)



2. INSTALL SEAT TRACK OUTER COVER

  1. Move the seat to the foremost position.

  1. Engage the 2 claws to install the seat track outer cover.



3. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
Torque:
5.4 N*m{55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf}


4. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
