Seat Position Sensor (For Sedan) -- Removal |
- CAUTION:
- Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.
- NOTICE:
- Always use "Torx" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.
- HINT:
- Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY |
Push in the lock button of the front seat headrest support and remove the front seat headrest.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH |
w/Front passenger airbag:
Using a clip remover, remove the clamp.
Slide the slider and disconnect the airbag connector.
Disconnect the buckle switch connector.

w/o Front passenger airbag:
Disconnect the buckle switch connector.
Move the front seat to its most rearward position.

Using "TORX" socket wrench E10, remove the 2 bolts from the front side.
Move the front seat to its most forward position.
Using "TORX" socket wrench E10, remove the 2 bolts from the rear side.
Remove the front seat.
4. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR |
Remove the seat slide position sensor protector from the seat position airbag sensor.
5. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR |
Disconnect the connector from the seat position airbag sensor.

Using "Torx" socket wrench T30, remove the torx screw and the seat position airbag sensor.
