  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

  5. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

  6. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH

  9. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

  10. REMOVE SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

Srs Seat Cushion Airbag Assembly (For Hatchback) -- Removal


CAUTION:
  1. Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000KT10EAX.html).
  2. Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
NOTICE:
Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.
HINT:
The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.


1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (YARIS_NCP93 RM00000482M008X.html).
HINT:
The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.


2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.


3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

5. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

6. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

  1. Remove the screw and the vertical adjusting handle.



7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and clip to remove the front seat cushion shield.



8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH

  1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat cushion inner shield.



9. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

  1. Disconnect the seatback cover band.

  1. Unfasten the hook to loop fastener. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Disengage the 4 hooks.

  1. Disengage the 3 clamps to separate the front seat side airbag wire harness. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  1. Disengage the 2 hooks.



  1. Disengage the 5 hooks and remove the seat cushion with pad.

10. REMOVE SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  1. Disengage the clamps.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts and the SRS seat cushion airbag assembly.

    CAUTION:
    1. The nuts must not be reused.
    2. Make sure that the seat frame assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
