Front Passenger Airbag Assembly (For Hatchback) -- Installation |
- CAUTION:
- Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000KT10EAX.html).
| 1. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE |
Connect the vent hole connector.
- NOTICE:
- Do not damage the vent hole wire harness when connecting the vent hole connector.
- Securely lock the locking button.

Connect the 2 airbag connectors to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
- NOTICE:
- Do not damage the airbag wire harness when connecting the airbag connector.
- Be sure to only connect the connectors to each corresponding color.
- Securely lock the locking button.
| 2. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG CONNECTOR COVER |
Engage the 8 claws to install the front passenger airbag connector cover.
| 3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY |
Check that the ignition switch is off.
Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Engage the 3 hooks B.

Engage the 3 hooks A to install the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
Install the 2 screws
| 4. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT |
Engage the 4 guides and install the heater to register duct with the 4 <A> screws.

| 5. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY |
| 6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- Torque:
- 5.4 N*m{55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf}
| 7. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT |
