  1. Use this procedure to troubleshoot the theft deterrent system.
  2. The Techstream should be used in steps 3 and 5.


1.VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

    2.INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
      Standard voltage:
      11 to 14 V
      HINT:
      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

    3.CHECK FOR DTC
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

    2. Delete the DTCs.

    3. Check whether the same DTCs recur by simulating the conditions indicated by the DTCs noted in step (a) above.

      1. If no DTCs recur, proceed to A.

      2. If the same DTCs recur, proceed to B.
