DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
LOOSEN PARKING BRAKE CABLE
SEPARATE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD KIT (PAD ONLY)
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE ANTI SQUEAL SHIM KIT
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD SUPPORT PLATE
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD GUIDE PIN
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE BUSH
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BUSHING DUST BOOT
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER MOUNTING
REMOVE REAR DISC

- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
- The following procedure listed is for the LH side.
- NOTICE:
- Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.
3. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY |

4. LOOSEN PARKING BRAKE CABLE |
Loosen the equalizer and lock nut.

- NOTICE:
- Do not reuse the loosened nut.
5. SEPARATE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY |
Separate the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the rear disc brake cylinder operation lever.
Insert an offset wrench 14 mm at the base of the parking brake cable as shown in the illustration to disengage the clip. Pull out the parking brake cable from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.

6. DISCONNECT REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE |
Remove the union bolt and gasket and separate the rear brake flexible hose from the disc brake cylinder assembly.
7. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY |
Hold the rear disc brake pad guide pin and remove the 2 bolts and the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.
8. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD KIT (PAD ONLY) |
Remove the 2 disc brake pads from the rear disc brake cylinder mounting.
9. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE ANTI SQUEAL SHIM KIT |
Remove the 2 No. 1 rear disc brake anti squeal shims and the 2 No. 2 rear disc brake anti squeal shims from the brake pads.
10. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD SUPPORT PLATE |
Remove the No. 1 rear disc brake pad support plate and the No. 2 rear disc brake pad support plate from the rear disc brake cylinder mounting.

- NOTICE:
- Each pad support plate has a different shape. Be sure to put an identification mark on each pad support plate so that they can be installed to their original position.
11. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD GUIDE PIN |
Remove the 2 rear disc brake pad guide pins from the disc brake cylinder mounting.
12. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE BUSH |
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the slide bush from the slide pin.

13. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BUSHING DUST BOOT |
Remove the 2 rear disc brake bushing dust boots from the rear disc brake cylinder mounting.
14. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER MOUNTING |
Remove the 2 bolts and the rear disc brake cylinder mounting from the axle beam.
Place matchmarks on the rear disc and axle hub, and remove the rear disc.
