1. INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

  1. Check that the float moves smoothly between the F level (upper end) and E level (lower end).

  1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between connector terminals 2 (FS) and 1 (FE) at the upper and lower ends of the float. Check that the resistance varies uniformly.

    Standard resistance:
    Float Level
    		Resistance (Ω)
    F (Upper End)
    		13.5 to 16.5
    E (Lower End)
    		405.5 to 414.5
    If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel sender gauge assembly.
