  1. REMOVE NO. 1 WITH HEAD TAPER SCREW PLUG

  2. REMOVE VALVE LIFTER

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 WITH HEAD TAPER SCREW PLUG

  4. REMOVE OIL CONTROL VALVE FILTER

  5. REMOVE INTAKE VALVE

  6. REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE

  7. REMOVE VALVE STEM OIL SEAL

  8. REMOVE VALVE SPRING SEAT

  9. REMOVE STUD BOLT

  10. REMOVE CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP SETTING RING PIN

Cylinder Head (For Hatchback) -- Disassembly



1. REMOVE NO. 1 WITH HEAD TAPER SCREW PLUG

  1. Using a 10 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 with head taper screw plug and the gasket.



2. REMOVE VALVE LIFTER

  1. Remove the 16 valve lifters from the cylinder head.

    HINT:
    Keep the valve lifters in the correct order so that they can be returned to their original locations when reassembled.


3. REMOVE NO. 2 WITH HEAD TAPER SCREW PLUG

  1. Using an 8 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 with head taper screw plug and the gasket.



4. REMOVE OIL CONTROL VALVE FILTER


5. REMOVE INTAKE VALVE

  1. Using SST, compress and remove the valve retainer locks.

    SST
    09202-70020(09202-00010)
    HINT:
    Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

  1. Remove the retainer, valve spring and valve.

    HINT:
    Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.


6. REMOVE EXHAUST VALVE

  1. Using SST, compress and remove the valve retainer locks.

    09202-70020(09202-00010)
    HINT:
    Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.

  1. Remove the retainer, valve spring and valve.

    HINT:
    Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.


7. REMOVE VALVE STEM OIL SEAL

  1. Using needle-nose pliers, remove the oil seals.



8. REMOVE VALVE SPRING SEAT


    Yaris. Ncp93, 131.1Nz-Fe Engine Mechanical.Engine (For Sedan).Cylinder Head (For Hatchback) Disassembly

  1. Using compressed air and Magnet Hand, remove the valve spring seats by blowing air onto them.



9. REMOVE STUD BOLT


10. REMOVE CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP SETTING RING PIN
