REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)
REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH (w/o Front No. 2 Speaker)
REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH (w/ Front No. 2 Speaker)
Black Out Tape (For Front Door) -- Removal |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window) |
Using a clip remover, remove the snap ring.

Remove the front door window regulator handle assembly and front door regulator inside handle plate.
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL |
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 claws and remove the front door inside handle bezel.

3. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL (w/o Power Window) |
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 6 claws, and remove the front armrest upper base panel.

w/ Power Door Lock:
Disconnect the connector.
4. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL (w/ Power Window) |
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 6 claws.

Disconnect the connector and remove the front armrest upper base panel.
5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and disconnect the door armrest cap.

Remove the 2 screws.

Using a clip remover, disengage the 10 clips.

Disengage the 5 claws and separate the front door trim board sub-assembly from the front door inner glass weatherstrip.
Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the front door inside handle sub-assembly.

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable and front door inside locking cable, and remove the front door inside handle sub-assembly.

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH (w/o Front No. 2 Speaker) |
Disengage the clip and clamp, and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH (w/ Front No. 2 Speaker) |
Disengage the clip and clamp.

Disconnect the connector and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.
9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP |
Remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip from the front door panel.

10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BRACKET |
Remove the 2 screws and the front door trim bracket.

11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER |
w/ Power door lock:
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the front door service hole cover.
- HINT:
- Remove any remaining butyl tape from the door.

12. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY WITH COVER |
Disconnect the clamp and connector.

Remove the 3 bolts.
Disengage the claw and remove the outer rear view mirror assembly with cover.
13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window) |
Install the front door window regulator handle assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
Remove the front door window regulator handle assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts.
- NOTICE:
- After the bolts are removed, do not allow the door glass to fall.

Remove the front door glass sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- Do not damage the door glass.

14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window) |
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
Connect the power window regulator master switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and power window regulator master switch assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts.
- NOTICE:
- After the bolts are removed, do not allow the door glass to fall.

Remove the front door glass sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
- NOTICE:
- Do not damage the door glass.

15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN |
Remove the front door glass run.

16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY |
Put protective tape around the front door belt moulding assembly.

Using a screwdriver with its tip taped, disengage the 5 claws from the inside of the door.
Using a moulding remover, disengage the clip and remove the front door belt moulding assembly.
17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP |
Remove the upper part of the front door weatherstrip to the extent that allows removal of the black out tape.

18. REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE (for TMC Made) |
Using a heat light, heat the No. 1 black out tape.
- Heating Temperature:
Item Temperature Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
- NOTICE:
- Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.
Pull back an edge of the No. 1 black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to pull it off.

19. REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE (for TMMC Made) |
Using a heat light, heat the No. 1 black out tape.
- Heating Temperature:
Item Temperature Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
- NOTICE:
- Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.
Pull back an edge of the No. 1 black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to pull it off.

20. REMOVE NO. 3 BLACK OUT TAPE (for TMMC Made) |
Using a heat light, heat the No. 3 black out tape.
- Heating Temperature:
Item Temperature Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
- NOTICE:
- Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.
Pull back an edge of the No. 3 black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to pull it off.
