  2. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR LH

Luggage Door Hinge Torsion Bar -- Installation


HINT:
  1. Install the RH side first, then the LH side.
  2. After installing the torsion bar, use your hand to open and close the luggage door. Make sure that the luggage door can be opened and closed smoothly.


1. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH

  1. Check the identification mark on the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH.

    for TMC Made:
    When replacing the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH with a new one:
    Pink
    When reusing the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH:
    Red
    for TMMC Made without Rear Spoiler:
    Red
    for TMMC Made with Rear Spoiler:
    Yellow


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Connect the left end of the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.



    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141.Door Hatch.Hood.Luggage Door Hinge Torsion Bar Installation

  1. Using SST, connect the right end of the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to install it on the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

  1. Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.



2. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR LH

  1. Check the identification mark on the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH.

    for TMC Made:
    When replacing the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH with a new one:
    Orange
    When reusing the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH:
    Light Blue
    for TMMC Made without Rear Spoiler:
    Light Blue
    for TMMC Made with Rear Spoiler:
    White

  1. Connect the right end of the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH to the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

  1. Using SST, connect the left end of the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH to install it on the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
