Sliding Roof Housing -- Removal |
| 1. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY |
| 2. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH |
Disconnect the curtain shield airbag connector.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Separate the 4 clips from the body panel.
Using a clip remover, remove the 4 pins.
Using needle-nose pliers, separate the 4 clips and curtain shield airbag assembly from the body as shown in the illustration.
Remove the 5 bolts and curtain shield airbag assembly with the 4 spacers and 4 clips.
- NOTICE:
- If the curtain shield airbag assembly is removed, replace it with a new one.

- HINT:
- Use the same procedure as for the LH side (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000UXG08ZX_01_0001.html).
| 4. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH |
Disengage the 5 claws and remove the sliding roof side garnish LH.

| 5. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
| 6. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 screws and sliding roof glass sub-assembly.
| 7. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 nuts and room light bracket.
Disconnect the 4 sliding roof drain hoses.
Remove the 8 bolts, 6 nuts, and sliding roof housing sub-assembly.
