Ambient Temperature Sensor Removal

  1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR

  2. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 2AZ-FE)

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE)

  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

  5. REMOVE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Ambient Temperature Sensor -- Removal



1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Remove the 2 radiator grille protectors.



2. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 2AZ-FE)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Remove the 4 screws, 4 clips and No. 4 engine under cover.



3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE)


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141.Heating Air Conditioning.Air Conditioning System (For Automatic Air Conditioning System).Ambient Temperature Sensor Removal

  1. Using a screwdriver, turn the pin 90 degrees and remove the pin hold clip.

    HINT:
    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  1. Put protective tape around the front bumper assembly.

  1. Remove the 2 screws, 2 bolts and 7 clips.

  1. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the front bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.

  1. Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors.



4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

  1. Using a screwdriver, turn the pin 90 degrees and remove the pin hold clip.

  1. Put protective tape around the front bumper assembly.

  1. Remove the 4 screws, 2 bolts and 7 clips.

  1. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the front bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.

  1. w/ Fog Light:

    1. Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors.



5. REMOVE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR


    Corolla. Zre142 Aze141

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Disengage the clamp and the ambient temperature sensor.
