Front Seat Assembly (For Power Seat) Reassembly

Engage the 5 clamps.

Connect the 3 connectors.

Engage the 3 clamps and install the front seat wire.

Connect the connector.

Install the seat position sensor to the seat slide position sensor protector with the pin as shown in the illustration.

Using a 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.) feeler gauge, temporarily install the seat position sensor with seat slide position sensor protector.

NOTICE:

1. If the seat position sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the seat position sensor with a new one.
   
2. When installing the seat position sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
   

HINT:

Be sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).

Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), tighten the "TORX" screw to install the seat position sensor with seat slide position sensor protector.

Torque:

8.0 N*m{82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf}

Make sure that the clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).

Connect the connector.

Check that there are no loose parts after installing the seat position sensor.

Install the 2 nuts.

Torque:

5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}

Install the active headrest lower unit with new clamp.

Install the 4 nuts and the active headrest upper unit.

Torque:

14 N*m{143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf}

Install the nut and connect the cable to the active headrest upper unit as shown in the illustration.

Torque:

5.0 N*m{51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf}

Install the front seat side airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.

Torque:

5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}

Engage the 2 clamps.

Engage the claw and 3 wire harness clamps to install the airbag wire harness.

Install the 2 hooks.

Install the front seat lower cushion shield RH with the screw.

Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.

Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.

Engage the guide.

Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the 2 screws.

Engage the clamp.

Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.

Engage the guide.

Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the 2 screws.

Engage the clamp.

Install the lumbar support adjuster assembly with the 2 screws.

Connect the connector.

Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with 4 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Temporarily install the front seatback cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

Torque:

5.5 N*m{56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf}

NOTICE:

1. For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.
   
2. Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
   
3. Install the bracket securely.
   

Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Using hog ring pliers, install 4 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover with 10 new hog rings.

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the cover.
   
2. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
   

Install the 2 front seat cushion edge protectors.

Engage the hooks.

Engage the clamp.

Engage the 2 hooks.

Install the 2 clips and the front seat cushion cover with pad.

Install the 2 screws and the No. 2 seat track lower spacer.

Insert the guide and temporarily install the front seat cushion inner shield as shown in the illustration.

Engage the claw and the 2 guides.

Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.

Torque:

41 N*m{420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf}

NOTICE:

Do not overlap the anchor part of the seat belt and protruding part of the seat adjuster.

Connect each connector and clamp.

Connect the connector.

Install the power seat switch with the 3 screws.

Install the 2 screws and the No. 1 seat track lower spacer.

Install the lumbar switch with the 2 screws.

Engage the 2 claws.

Install the No. 1 front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

Connect the connector to the front power seat lumbar switch.

Engage the claw and the guide.

Install the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 5 screws.

Install the 2 hooks.

Engage the 2 claws and install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

Engage the 2 claws and install the reclining power seat switch knob.

Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.
