Front Seat Side Airbag Assembly On-Vehicle Inspection

Perform a diagnostic system check (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000XFE0H1X.html).

Visually check for defects with the front seat side airbag assembly installed on the vehicle.

1. The defects are as follows:
   

   1. Cuts on the front seatback assembly around the front seat side airbag assembly
      
   2. Small cracks on the front seatback assembly around the front seat side airbag assemblies
      
   3. Significant discoloration on the front seatback assembly around the front seat side airbag assemblies
      

   OK:

   No defects are found.
   

   HINT:

   If any of the defects is found, replace the separate type front seatback pad or separate type front seatback cover with a new one.

Perform a diagnostic system check (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000000XFE0H1X.html).

Visually check for defects with the front seat side airbag assemblies removed from the vehicle.

1. The defects are as follows:
   

   1. Make sure that there are no scratches, broken or frayed threads on the surface of the front seat side airbag assembly base fabric
      
   2. Marks from being dropped
      
   3. Deformation on the installation part of the front seat side airbag assembly
      
   4. Cracks or other damage to the wire harness or connector
      

   OK:

   No defects are found.
   

   HINT:

   If any of the defects is found, replace the front seat side airbag assembly with a new one.
