SMART KEY SYSTEM (for Entry Function) - Driver Side Door Entry Unlock Function does not Operate


DESCRIPTION

If the driver door entry unlock function does not operate but the entry lock function operates, communication between the vehicle and electrical key transmitter is normal. As a result, the touch sensor circuit can be considered to be faulty (certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) → driver side door outside handle → driver side door electrical key oscillator).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION

  1. When the master switch assembly's door control switch is operated, check that the locked doors unlock (COROLLA_ZRE142 RM000001333049X.html).

    OK:
    Door locks operate normally.

2.READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)

  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  1. Turn the Techstream on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

  1. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

    Main Body (Main Body ECU (Instrument Panel Junction Block))

    D-Door Lock Pos SW
    		Driver side door lock position switch signal/ON or OFF
