Back-Up Light Switch Removal
REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE
DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SHIFT CABLE
REMOVE BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY
Back-Up Light Switch -- Removal |
1. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER |
Hold the rear of the cover and raise it to disengage the 2 clips on the rear of the cover. Continue to raise the cover to disengage the 2 clips on the front of the cover to remove the cover.
- NOTICE:
- Attempting to disengage both front and rear clips at the same time may cause the cover to break.
2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and the 2 wire harness clamps.
Disconnect the ventilation hose and loosen the hose clamp.
Release the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose.
3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE |
Separate the air cleaner filter element from the air cleaner.
Disconnect the engine wire harness clamp from air cleaner case.
Remove the 3 bolts and the air cleaner case.
4. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SHIFT CABLE |
Remove the 2 clips, and disconnect the transmission control shift cable.
5. REMOVE BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY |
Disconnect the back-up light switch connector and 2 clamps.
Using SST, remove the back-up light switch and gasket from the transaxle case.
