Valve Body Assembly -- Inspection |
1. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL3 |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection
| Condition
| Specified Condition
|
1 - 2
| 20°C (68°F)
| 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
|
If the value is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve SL3.
Connect a positive (+) battery lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) battery lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the operation of the valve.
- OK:
- The solenoid valve makes an operating sound.
If the result is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve SL3.
2. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SLT |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection
| Condition
| Specified Condition
|
1 - 2
| 20°C (68°F)
| 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
|
If the value is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve SLT.
Connect a positive (+) battery lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) battery lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the operation of the valve.
- OK:
- The solenoid valve makes an operating sound.
If the result is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve SLT.
3. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE S4 |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection
| Condition
| Specified Condition
|
Solenoid Connector (S4) - Solenoid Body (S4)
| 20°C (68°F)
| 11 to 15 Ω
|
If the value is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve S4.
Connect a positive (+) battery lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and a negative (-) battery lead to the solenoid body, then check the operation of the valve.
- OK:
- The solenoid valve makes an operating sound.
If the result is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve S4.
4. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SR |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection
| Condition
| Specified Condition
|
Solenoid Connector (SR) - Solenoid Body (SR)
| 20°C (68°F)
| 11 to 15 Ω
|
If the value is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve SR.
Connect a positive (+) battery lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and a negative (-) battery lead to the solenoid body, then check the operation of the valve.
- OK:
- The solenoid valve makes an operating sound.
If the result is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve SR.
5. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE DSL |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection
| Condition
| Specified Condition
|
Solenoid Connector (DSL) - Solenoid Body (DSL)
| 20°C (68°F)
| 11 to 13 Ω
|
If the value is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve.
Connect a positive (+) battery lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and a negative (-) battery lead to the solenoid body DSL, then check the operation of the valve.
- OK:
- The solenoid valve makes an operating sound.
If the result is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve DSL.
6. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL2 |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection
| Condition
| Specified Condition
|
1 - 2
| 20°C (68°F)
| 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
|
If the value is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve SL2.
Connect a positive (+) battery lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 2 and a negative (-) battery lead to terminal 1 of the solenoid valve connector, then check the operation of the valve.
- OK:
- The solenoid valve makes an operating sound.
If the result is not as specified, replace the shift solenoid valve SL2.
7. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL1 |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection
| Condition
| Specified Condition
|
1 - 2
| 20°C (68°F)
| 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
