DESCRIPTION

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

DESCRIPTION

1. The ECM detects a cruise control switch signal and sends it to the combination meter assembly through CAN. Then the SET indicator light comes on.
   
2. The SET indicator light circuit uses CAN for communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.
   

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
   

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
   

3. Turn the Techstream on.
   

4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
   

5. Check the SET indicator light by performing the Active Test.
   
   

   Combination Meter Assembly

   Indicat. SET	SET indicator light	OFF or ON	Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the engine idling

   OK:

   The SET indicator light on or goes off according to Techstream operation.
   

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
   

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
   

3. Turn the Techstream on.
   

4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.
   

5. According to the display on tester, read the Data List.
   
   

   Cruise Control (ECM)

   OK:

   The display changes as shown above according to cruise control main switch operation.
