DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the power window regulator master switch assembly and main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) stops for more than 10 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When using the intelligent tester to troubleshoot with the ignition switch off:
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the intelligent tester and vehicle begins.
1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

  1. Disconnect the M2 switch connector.

  1. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    M2-12 (GND) - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    M2-11 (B) - Body ground
    		Always
    		11 to 14 V

  1. Disconnect the E8 ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    E8-10 (LIN2) - M2-17 (LIN1)
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    M2-17 (LIN1) - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

3.REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  1. Replace the power window regulator master switch assembly (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000002AC908KX.html).

4.CHECK DTC OUTPUT

  1. Clear the DTC (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000002XHS00KX.html).

  1. Recheck for DTCs.

    OK:
    DTC B1206 is not output.
