  1. INSTALL CIGARETTE LIGHTER ASSEMBLY

  2. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

  4. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

  5. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

  6. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL (for Manual Transaxle)

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  9. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

Cigarette Lighter -- Installation



1. INSTALL CIGARETTE LIGHTER ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the 2 cigarette lighter bulbs.

  1. Install the cigarette lighter bulb cap.

  1. Connect the cigarette lighter bulb socket.

  1. Install the cigarette lighter socket.

  1. Install the cigarette lighter retainer.

  1. Connect the cigarette lighter bulb socket.

  1. Engage the 2 claws and install the ash receptacle retainer sub-assembly.

  1. Turn the cigarette lighter nut in the direction indicated by the arrow to install it.

  1. Connect the connector.

  1. Install the cigarette lighter knob and element assembly.



2. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect each connector.

  1. Engage the 2 claws and 2 clips.

  1. Install the lower instrument cluster finish panel center sub-assembly with the 2 screws <F>.



3. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

  1. Connect the connector and engage the clamp.

  1. Engage the 3 claws and 5 clips to install the upper console rear panel sub-assembly.



4. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

  1. Engage the 3 claws and 5 clips to install the upper console rear panel sub-assembly.



5. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

  1. with Seat Heater System:

    1. Connect each connector.

  1. Engage the 6 claws and the 3 clips to install the floor shift position indicator housing sub-assembly.



6. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL (for Manual Transaxle)


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Engage the 2 claws and the 5 clips to install the upper console panel as shown in the illustration.



7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  1. Engage the 2 clips and install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.



8. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Engage the 2 clips and install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.



9. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

  1. Install the shift lever knob sub-assembly.



10. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

  1. Install the shift lever knob sub-assembly.
