Front Washer Motor -- Inspection |
1. INSPECT FRONT WASHER MOTOR |
Operation Check
Fill the washer jar with the washer fluid.
Connect the positive battery (+) lead to terminal A37-1 of the windshield washer motor and pump assembly, and the negative battery (-) lead to terminal A37-2. Check that washer fluid flows from the washer jar.
2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT CLEANER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY |
Operation Check
Fill the washer jar with the washer fluid.
Connect the positive battery (+) lead to terminal A38-1 of the headlight cleaner motor and pump assembly, and the negative battery (-) lead to terminal A38-2. Check that washer fluid flows from the washer jar.

3. INSPECT HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY |
Inspect headlight cleaner control relay operation.
Measure the resistance between terminals A39-4 (E) and A39-6 (PB).
Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal A39-3 (IG) of the connector, and the negative (-) battery lead to terminal A39-4 (E).
Connect the negative (-) battery lead to terminals A39-1 (HOLD) and A39-2 (H), and measure the resistance between terminals A39-4 (E) and A39-6 (PB).
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A39-4 (E) - A39-6 (PB) Always 10 kΩor higher A39-4 (E) - A39-6 (PB) When applying battery voltage Below 1 Ω A39-4 (E) - A39-6 (PB) 0.8 to 0.9 seconds after applying battery voltage 10 kΩ or higher
Disconnect the negative (-) battery lead from terminal A39-1 (HOLD) and A39-2 (H).
Disconnect the positive (+) battery lead from terminal A39-3 (IG), and then reconnect it.
Connect the negative (-) battery lead to terminals A39-1 (HOLD) and A39-5 (FRWA), and measure the resistance between terminals A39-4 (E) and A39-6 (PB).
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A39-4 (E) - A39-6 (PB) When applying battery voltage Below 1 Ω A39-4 (E) - A39-6 (PB) 0.8 to 0.9 seconds after applying battery voltage 10 kΩ or higher
