INSPECT IG1 RELAY

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIPER RELAY - BATTERY, BODY GROUND)

DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to the windshield wiper relay assembly (auto wiper relay).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.INSPECT FUSE (WIP)
  1. Remove the WIP fuse from the instrument panel J/B.

  1. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

    Standard resistance:
    Below 1 Ω


NG
REPLACE FUSE
OK


2.INSPECT IG1 RELAY


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40.Wiper And Washer.Wiper And Washer System.Wiper And Washer System  Power Source Circuit
  1. Remove the IG1 relay from the instrument panel J/B.

  1. Measure the resistance of the relay.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    3 - 5
    Always
    10 kΩ or higher
    When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2
    Below 1 Ω


NG
REPLACE IG1 RELAY
OK


3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIPER RELAY - BATTERY, BODY GROUND)

  1. Disconnect the E26 auto wiper relay connector.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Switch Condition
    Specified Condition
    E26-12 (IG) - Body ground
    Ignition switch ON
    10 to 14 V
  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Condition
    Specified Condition
    E26-26 (E) - Body ground
    Always
    Below 1 Ω
