Headlight Assembly Reassembly

  1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT GASKET (for HID Headlight)

  2. INSTALL LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY (for HID Headlight)

  3. INSTALL HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING

  4. INSTALL HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR

  5. INSTALL CLEARANCE LIGHT SOCKET

  6. INSTALL CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB

  7. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET

  8. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

  9. INSTALL NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight)

  10. INSTALL DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB (for HID Headlight)

  11. INSTALL HEADLIGHT SOCKET COVER (for HID Headlight)

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB

Headlight Assembly -- Reassembly



1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT GASKET (for HID Headlight)

  1. Install a new headlight gasket.



2. INSTALL LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY (for HID Headlight)

  1. Pass the socket of the light control ECU sub-assembly through the headlight unit.



  1. Move the aiming screw clockwise as shown in the illustration and return the reflector to the original position.

  1. Connect the connector.

  1. Install the light control ECU sub-assembly with the 4 screws.



3. INSTALL HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING

  1. Install a new headlight leveling motor base packing.



4. INSTALL HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR

  1. Insert the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

  1. Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to engage the shaft.

  1. Turn the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) in the illustration.

    HINT:
    When removing the headlight leveling motor of the headlight assembly RH, turn the headlight leveling motor in the opposite direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration.

  1. Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (4) in the illustration to install it.



5. INSTALL CLEARANCE LIGHT SOCKET


6. INSTALL CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB

  1. Install the clearance light bulb to the clearance light socket.

  1. Turn the clearance light bulb and clearance light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and install them as a unit.



7. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET


8. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

  1. Install the front turn signal light bulb to the front turn signal light socket.

  1. Turn the front turn signal light bulb and front turn signal light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and install them as a unit.



9. INSTALL NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight)

  1. Turn the No. 2 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to install it.

    NOTICE:
    Do not touch the bulb glass.


10. INSTALL DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB (for HID Headlight)

  1. Lock the set spring to install the discharge headlight bulb as shown in the illustration.

    NOTICE:
    Do not touch the bulb glass.

  1. Turn the light control ECU socket in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to connect it.



11. INSTALL HEADLIGHT SOCKET COVER (for HID Headlight)

  1. Turn the headlight socket cover in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to install it.



12. INSTALL NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB


    Camry. Acv40 Gsv40

  1. Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to install it.

    NOTICE:
    Do not touch the bulb glass.
