Occupant Detection Sensor (For Power Seat) Removal

Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.

Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the seat track cover RH.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the inner seat track bracket cover LH.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.

Remove the 2 bolts on the front seat track bracket.

Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.

Remove the 2 bolts on the rear seat track bracket.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent the airbag and seat belt pretensioner from deploying (CAMRY_ACV40 RM000000KT10BKX.html).

NOTICE:

After the ignition switch is turned off, the navigation receiver assembly (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Disconnect the connectors under the seat. Then remove the front seat assembly RH.

Using a screwdriver, detach the reclining power seat switch knob.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Using a screwdriver, detach the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Disconnect the 2 hooks.

Remove the 5 screws.

Disengage the claw and separate the front seat cushion shield assembly.

Disconnect the connector from the front power seat lumbar switch.

for Driver seat:

1. Disconnect the connectors and disengage the 4 clamps.
   

for Passenger seat:

1. Disconnect the connector and disengage the 3 clamps.
   

Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.

Remove the screw.

Using a clip remover, detach the clip.

Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the front inner seat cushion shield.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Remove the 3 screws.

Disconnect the connector and remove the front power seat switch.

Disconnect the 2 clamps.

Remove the 4 hooks.

Using a screwdriver, detach the hooks and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

Remove the 16 hog rings and front separate type seat cushion pad from the separate type front seat cushion cover.
