Brake Actuator (W/O Vsc) On-Vehicle Inspection

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

Start the engine and run it at idle.

Select the Active Test mode on the intelligent tester.

HINT:

Refer to the intelligent tester operator's manual for further details.

With the motor relay on, check the actuator motor operation sounds.

Turn the motor relay off.

Depress the brake pedal and hold it for approximately 15 seconds. Check that the brake pedal cannot be depressed farther.

With the motor relay on, check that the pedal does not pulsate.

Turn the motor relay off and release the brake pedal.

Depress the brake pedal and hold it.

Turn the SFRH and SFRR solenoids on simultaneously, and check that the pedal cannot be depressed.

Turn the SFRH and SFRR solenoids off simultaneously, and check that the pedal can be depressed.

NOTICE:

Do not keep a motor relay on continuously for more than 5 seconds. When operating them continuously, set an interval of more than 20 seconds.

Turn the motor relay on and check that the pedal returns.

Turn the motor relay off and release the brake pedal.

Using the same procedure, check the solenoids of the other wheels.

HINT:

1. Left front wheel: SFLH, SFLR
   
2. Right rear wheel: SRRH, SRRR
   
3. Left rear wheel: SRLH, SRLR
