DTC P0630 VIN not Programmed or Mismatch - ECM / PCM


DESCRIPTION

DTC P0630 is set when the VIN is not stored in the ECM or the input VIN is not accurate. Input the VIN with the intelligent tester.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.READ DTC OUTPUT

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / DTC.

  1. Read the DTCs.

    Result:

    Result
    		Proceed to
    DTC P0630 is output
    		A
    DTC P0630 and other DTCs are output
    		B
    If any DTCs other than P0630 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
    NOTICE:
    If P0630 is set, the VIN must be input to the ECM using the tester. However, all DTCs are cleared automatically by the tester when inputting the VIN. If DTCs other than P0630 are set, check them first.
