CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DOOR LOCK - ECU)

POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM - Only Passenger Door LOCK / UNLOCK Functions do not Operate


DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives lock / unlock switch signals and activates the door lock motor accordingly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.INSPECT FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (PASSENGER SIDE)

  1. for LHD:

    1. Apply the battery voltage to the door lock motor and check the operation of the door lock motor.

      OK:
      Measurement Condition
      Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 4 (L)
      Battery negative (-) → 1 (UL)
      Lock
      Battery positive (+) → 1 (UL)
      Battery negative (-) → 4 (L)
      Unlock
    2. Measure the resistance of the door lock position switch.

      Standard resistance:
      Tester Connection
      Switch Condition
      Specified Condition
      7 (E) - 8 (LSSR)
      Lock
      10 kΩ or higher
      7 (E) - 8 (LSSR)
      Unlock
      Below 1 Ω

  1. for RHD (w/o Double Locking System):

    1. Apply the battery voltage to the door lock motor and check the operation of the door lock motor.

      OK:

      Lock
      Battery positive (+) → 1 (UL)
      Battery negative (-) → 4 (L)
      Unlock
    2. Measure the resistance of the door lock position switch.

2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DOOR LOCK - ECU)

  1. for LHD:

    1. Disconnect the G5 door lock connector.

    2. Disconnect the E18 ECU connector.

    3. Disconnect the IH junction block connector.

    4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance:
      Tester Connection
      Specified Condition
      G5-1 (UL) - IH-18 (ACT-)
      Below 1 Ω
      G5-4 (L) - IH-17 (ACT+)
      Below 1 Ω
      G5-7 (LSSR) - E18-10 (LSWP)
      Below 1 Ω
      G5-8 (E) - Body ground
      Below 1 Ω
  1. for RHD (w/o Double Locking System):

    1. Disconnect the H5 door lock connector.

    2. Disconnect the E18 ECU connector.

    3. Disconnect the IH junction block connector.

    4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance:
      Tester Connection
      Specified Condition
      H5-1 (UL) - IH-9 (ACT-)
      Below 1 Ω
      H5-4 (L) - IH-8 (ACT+)
      Below 1 Ω
      H5-8 (LSSR) - E18-10 (LSWP)
      Below 1 Ω
      H5-7 (E) - Body ground
      Below 1 Ω
  1. for RHD (w/ Double Locking System):

    1. Disconnect the H5 door lock connector.

    2. Disconnect the E18 ECU connector.

    3. Disconnect the IH junction block connector.

    4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance:
