DESCRIPTION
The intrusion sensor (built into the overhead junction block) conducts self-diagnosis immediately after power is supplied to the sensor (when the theft deterrent system is set).If a malfunction is detected in the IOUT - IOUT line, the theft warning ECU outputs this DTC.DTC No.

| After normal / trouble signal is output from intrusion sensor as result of self-diagnosis, following malfunctions are detected:
- Intrusion communication line is open
- Reception of signals other than normal / trouble signals
| - Wire harness
- Overhead junction block (intrusion sensor)
- Theft warning ECU

WIRING DIAGRAM
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK - THEFT WARNING ECU AND BODY GROUND) |
Disconnect the R8 junction block connector.
Disconnect the E83 ECU connector.
Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
- Standard resistance:

R8-4 (IOUT) or E83-8 (IOUT) - Body ground

2.CHECK OVERHEAD JUNCTION BLOCK (OPERATION) |
Temporarily replace the overhead junction block (intrusion sensor) with a new or normally functioning one (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001GED00BX.html).
Check for a DTC.
- OK:
- DTC B2762 is not output.
