Ambient Temperature Sensor (For Automatic Air Conditioning System) Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  3. REMOVE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Ambient Temperature Sensor (For Automatic Air Conditioning System) -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.


2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  1. w/ Under Guard:
    Remove the front bumper cover (RAV4_ACA30 RM000003PKF001X.html).

  1. w/o Under Guard:
    Remove the front bumper cover (RAV4_ACA30 RM0000015RJ00HX.html).



3. REMOVE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

  1. Using a screwdriver, pull out the sensor, then disconnect the connector.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
